This collection contains a copy of Elisabeth Schönfeld's diary written during the Nazi dictatorship, as well as a few photographs, a manuscript by LucieMeyer on her emigration to France, and a couple of family papers. All items are photocopies, except the photographs.

Steffi Winters was born in Eisenach, brought up in Berlin, and later emigrated to the United States. Rudolf Schönfeld, uncle of Steffi Winters, was born in Breslau (today Wrocław, Poland) in 1893 and served in the German army in the first World War, where he was stationed in Syria and later was interned by the British as a prisoner of war in Cairo.
